وقال : لا نميل لأي طرف بل نحن مع الشعب السوداني الذي يرفع صوته للحرية والاستقرار ونتواصل مع رئيس الوزراء ورئيس مجلس السيادة
و أوضح المسؤول الأمريكي أن الولايات المتحدة تتابع عن كثب ولدينا قلق ونرى أن الانتقال هش واي فوضى سوف تعرقل الانتقال لدينا خوف وقلق ولدينا اتصال مع المجتمع الدولي المهتم بالملف السوداني…
وأكد أن إجراء انتخابات في السودان مهم في الوقت المناسب ويجب انشاء المجلس التشريعي ولانضع زمن محدد لذلك…
وقال إن واشنطون أدانت المحاولة الانقلابية وتري أن المدنيين والعسكريين لديهم إمكانية التفاوض والنقاش….
