اقامت صحيفة وقناة براون لاند الانجليزيتين صباح اليوم منتدي تحت عنوان (مكافحة الارهاب في السودان) بمشاركة عدد من الخبراء العسكريين والاكاديميين والمحللين السياسيين حيث عرضت في المنتدي عدة اوراق عمل من ممثلي وزارة الداخلية والدفاع وعدد من الاكاديميين.
في ورقته قدم الاستاذ شوقي صلاح احمد فذلكة تاريخية حول الارهاب بالتركيز على منظمة بوكو حرام ونشأتها والتطورات التي حدثت بها بالاضافة الي حقيقة عدم التوصلالي اطار تعريفي بما هو الارهاب.
اللاء م. مبارك عبدالله تحدث عن التدخلات والتداخلات في قضية الارهاب ومكافحته منوها الى عدم وجود رؤية استراتيجية، ومؤكدا ان الحلول العسكرية لمكافحة الارهاب لا تجدي فتيلا ولن تقوم الى القضاء عليه، مشددا على ضرورة ان تكون هنالك اجراءات وقائية من قبل الدولة للتصدي لهذه الظاهرة.
العقيد جمال محمد الخليفة ممثل وازارة الداخلية تناول جهودهم في تفكيك الخلايا الارهابية من وجهود الهيئة الوطنية لمكافحة الارهاب. وقد قدم رئيس دائرة التدريببقوات الدعم السريع العميد ركن محمد أحمد عباس اور ناصر ورقة عمل تناولت مجهودات القوات في مكافحة الارهاب في كافة انحاء الوطن نظرا لانتشارها الواسع وتدريبها العالي مما جعلها قوة ضاربة في مجال التصدي للارهاب بكافة اشكاله، منوها الى التنسيق والتعاون بين كافة الاجهزة المحتصة في هذا المجال.
اما ممثل المفوضية القومية للحدود فقد ذكر ان السودان فطن الى هذه الظاهرة منذ وقت مبكر وقام باعداد وصياغة واجازة العديد من القوانين مثل قانون مكافحة الرهاب لسنة 2001 وقانون مكافحة غسيل الاموال وتمويل الارهاب مبينا ان السودان وقع على كافة الاتفاقيات الدولية في هذا الصدد.
