كشفت الإدارة الوطنية لدراسة المحيطات والغلاف الجوى الأمريكية، عن تسبب تقلبات الطقس والتغيرات المناخية في الولايات المتحدة، في مصرع أكثر من 500 شخص خلال العام الجاري.
وأشارت الهيئة الأمريكية – حسبما ذكرت شبكة “سي إن إن” الإخبارية الأمريكية، اليوم، الثلاثاء، أن هذه الكوارث تسببت في خسائر تُقدر بأكثر من 100 مليار دولار حتى الآن خلال هذا العام.
وأوضحت السلطات الأمريكية المعنية، أن الولايات المتحدة واجهت خلال الأشهر التسعة الأولى من عام 2021 بالفعل، 18 كارثة كلفت كلٌّ منها أكثر من مليار دولار.
ويُشار إلى أن هذه هي السنة السابعة على التوالي، التي تشهد فيها الولايات المتحدة أكثر من 10كوارث، بلغ مجموعها أكثر من مليار دولار.
