شدد وزير التنمية العمرانية والطرق والجسور الأستاذ عبدالله يحي احمد على ضرورة الشراكة المجتمعية في صيانة وتأهيل الطرق القومية بغرض تحقيق التنمية المرجوة.
وتفقد يحي أعمال الصيانة الدورية التي تجريها الهيئة القومية للطرق والجسور بطريق الخرطوم مدني وطريق مدني المناقل وطريق مدني ام القري وطريق مدني سنار.
وقال انه بدون طرق لن تكون هنالك تنمية متعهدا ببذل الجهود لتوفير التمويل اللازم لصيانة كافة الطرق القومية في السودان مشيرا إلي اهتمام ولاية الجزيرة بالطرق القومية.
وقال والي الجزيرة عبد الله الكنين أن الشروع في صيانة هذه الطرق تعتبر بداية الانطلاق نحو التنمية بالولاية مؤكدا أن ولايته ستقوم باستنفار الجهد الرسمي والشعبي لتأهيل الطرق بالولاية.
وقال إنه سيتم إطلاق حملة استنفار لرجال الأعمال والمواطنين للمساهمة في صيانة الطرق وتأهيلها مؤكدا أن حكومته ستقوم بشراكة قوية مع الهيئة القومية للطرق والجسور لصيانة وتأهيل كافة الطرق بالولاية.
من جهته قال المدير العام للهيئة القومية للطرق والجسور المهندس مستشار جعفر حسن آدم أن الهيئة عازمة على صيانة كافة الطرق بالمكون المحلي مشددا على ضرورة الشراكة المجتمعية في عملية الصيانة.
وأضاف أن خطط الهيئة المحافظة على الطرق الموجودة وصيانتها وصولا لزيرو حفر مؤكدا أن الصيانة ستتواصل لمعالجة ما حدث فيها بعد أن توقفت بسبب الخريف.
وأضاف أن طريق طريق مدني المناقل في حاجة إلي إعادة صيانة حتي تنساب الحركة بصورة طبيعية
