أكّد تقرير أمريكي أن المستفيد الأكبر من طفرة السيارات الكهربائية في الولايات المتحدة هي المملكة العربية السعودية؛ حيث من المتوقع أن تسجل السعودية أرباحاً تقارب 20 مليار دولار من تمويل بقيمة 2.9 مليار دولار في شركة لوسيد موتورز للسيارات الكهربائية.
وقال تقرير صحيفة “وول ستريت جورنال”، إن شركة لوسيد ومقرها سان فرانسيسكو من المقرر إدراجها في بورصات عالمية، مشيرة الى أن صندوق الاستثمارات العامة السعودي يملك في الشركة أكثر من 60 %، والتي من المتوقع أن تبلغ قيمتها السوقية نحو 36 مليار دولار على أساس سعر سهم (SPAC) الحالي.
وتمثل هذه العائدات، ثمار حسن اختيار الصندوق السعودي توقيت استثمار مناسب في الشركة (في عام 2018) التي كانت تكافح من أجل البقاء، حيث كان التمويل السعودي، بمنزلة شريان الحياة لشركة “لوسيد”.
وأشار التقرير الى أن “لوسيد” تعد أفضل شركة ناشئة في مجال السيارات الكهربائية في الولايات المتحدة تم طرحها للاكتتاب العام أخيراً، والنقاط الجيدة التي تصب لفائدة السعودية هي أن “لوسيد” هي ثاني أكبر شركة أمريكية من حيث القيمة في قطاع صناعة البطاريات.
يُشار إلى أن شركة “لوسيد” ستبدأ إنتاج وتسليم سياراتها الكهربائية للمرة الأولى خلال عام 2021.
كما كانت الشركة قد أعلنت في وقت سابق من العام الجاري، محادثات مع صندوق الاستثمارات العامة السعودي لبناء مصنع في السعودية.
