أستطاعت المتحولة جنسيًا كاتالونا إنريكيز (27 عاما)، الفوز مؤخرا بلقب ملكة جمال ولاية نيفادا الأمريكية، لتصبح أول متحولة جنسيا تنافس على لقب ملكة جمال الولايات المتحدة.
وتفوقت إنريكيز على 21 منافسة لها لتتأهل بذلك إلى مسابقة ملكة جمال الولايات المتحدة التي ستقام في 29 نوفمبر القادم، و في حال فوزها باللقب فستكون ثاني امرأة متحولة جنسيا تشارك في مسابقة ملكة جمال الكون بعد أن سبقتها إلى ذلك الإسبانية، أنجيلا بونس، في العام 2018، وفق (روسيا اليوم).
وأوضحت كاتالونا أن طريقها في الحياة لم يكن سهلا، وأنها عانت الكثير من الصعاب بعد أن أصبحت عابرة جنسية، وقالت: “عانيت أنواعا شتى من الاعتداء الجسدي والجنسي، وكافحت للحفاظ على صحتي العقلية”.
وأضافت” لم أحظ بكثير من الدعم ولكني كنت قادرة على الاستمرار والتطور وما زلت على قيد الحياة، وأطمح أن أكون قدوة للكثير من الناس”
